We all have the capacity within ourselves to change things in our lives. We can explore, together, what is possible to make your life feel different. We will work together to eliminate the negative aspects and maximise the positives. You will not be judged or criticised in the therapy room, nor will you be told what to do. You will be heard.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
There is no yardstick but you will know when things have changed for you. It is important to commit to regular weekly sessions and we will review our progress at agreed intervals, the first usually after six weeks. We can set short term and/or long term goals. The pace is yours to decide. It is your time and your space.
IT HAPPENED A LONG TIME AGO
Our minds have the capacity to bury painful memories. Sometimes these can be triggered to surface in later life. Both the current issues and archaic memories can be worked with and resolved. I have trained to work with current and old traumatic feelings.
I SHOULD BE OVER IT BY NOW
Sometimes our minds get stuck if issues have not been resolved. Times does not always heal - it occasionally needs some help to process feelings and thoughts that may have been suppressed. We can work, gently, to look at how to acknowledge what has happened and move on in life.
WHAT IF I GET UPSET?
Our lives are filled with highs and lows. We are all the product of our past and that will include both happy and sad experiences. Exploring where we are now can require us looking at how we got there. There is a place for laughter and for tears in the therapy room and I will sit alongside you through both.
